Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen. Heb 11-1

Find your delight in the LORD
who will give you your heart’s desire. Ps 37:4And when the grain is ripe, he wields the sickle at once, for the harvest has come. Mk 4:29
in darkness my day ended
fitful was my sleep
restless i awoke
in darkness still
alarms sounded in my mind
echoing panic in the dark
sudden despair seized my soul
fear of never seeing the light
i tried to rise but couldn’t
planted in the ground was i
armless i raised my heart to You
rooted in your love i cried
at daybreak you came walking
teardrops fell on my stalk
above the sound of the sickle i hear
“The Kingdom of God has come”
and my heart sang out
with delight in the LORD
thankful for my heart’s desire
a small seed in the Kingdom of God
Who may go up the mountain of the LORD?
Who can stand in his holy place? Ps 24:3
Rejoice, people rejoice
The Lord is off his holy place
He has descended the mountain
He has come seeking his people
The mountain is a lonely place
There is none whose hands are sinless
Whose hearts are pure and void of vanity
None who are worthy of his holy place
Rejoice, people rejoice
The Lord is off his holy place
He has descended the mountain
He has come seeking his people
He has come to knock on doors
Seeking sinners, prostitutes, and tax collectors
Those who threw away their inheritance
“Anyone with ears ought to hear.”
Rejoice, people rejoice
The Lord is off his holy place
He has descended the mountain
He has come seeking his people
He is calling you; harden not your heart
He already knows all that is secret and hidden
Repent, open up your heart, and be healed
He has come to lead us sinners home
Rejoice, people rejoice
The Lord is off his holy place
He has descended the mountain
He has come seeking his people
a wrong turn found me
at a familiar intersection
on a path never taken
facing a glorious sunrise
a squadron of geese met me
wheeling to look in my window
slowing to keep pace i hear a honk
a reminder to stay with my flock
the strangest sight all trip
a dachshund crossing the road
miniature legs pumping
like locomotive pistons
For whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother. Mk 3:35
oh loving Father,
i am so grateful
for your boundless love
flowing abundantly
from deep within me
spilling forth into the world
i long to know your will
so that i may do your will
but not being perfect
i may never know
perfectly
your will for me
and even if i could know
i may never do
perfectly
your will for me
grant me this o loving Father
just for today
let me do your will
let me love you
with all my heart
and all my soul
let me love my neighbors
as i love myself
with the unconditional love
with which you pour into me
it is only a small wish
not forever
or even the rest of my life
but just for today
let me do your will
as Jesus taught us
